Nubble Lighthouse was painted in 2024 after a late summer trip to Maine - this has always been a favorite lighthouse of the artist as trips to Ogunquit were common in the Maki family. Although different from her usual subject matter, Maki wanted to capture this sunshine filled moment and create a more detailed representation of one of her favorite New England Notecard Illustrations.
